Prize Money

Rules

1. Entry fee is $10. If you have Pigskin Mania money on account, it will automatically be deducted from your account. Otherwise, cash or check should be mailed to:

Use of Paypal: The Poolmaster does have a Paypal account under the e-mail address jaygonzales@comcast.net that you can use to transfer funds. However, the only way to use this is if you have a Paypal account that allows you to make a direct transfer from your account to ours. There are no fees involved in this type of transaction. There are fees and limits involved if you make a credit card or debit card payment through Paypal, so we ask that you don't do that. Only send money through Paypal if you have a Paypal account and it is a transfer from your account to ours. If you use Paypal and fees are charged, we will have to collect that from you at some point and it becomes a hassle. Thanks.

2. Players will select 8 teams from the field of 64 using the form at the bottom of this page. E-mail, phone or fax entries are not allowed.

3. The Play-In Game on Tuesday before the first round of the tournament is not part of this pool. You may select those teams, but their games do not count until they are in the field of 64.

4. The teams you select each have a point value based on their seeding. Point values are as follows:

5. Points are scored as follows:

• For each win in the first weekend of the tournament (first and second rounds) a team scores points equal to its point value.

• In the second weekend (Sweet 16 and Elite Eight) point values are multiplied by 2. For each win, a team scores points equal to its point value times 2.

• In the final weekend (Final Four) point values are multiplied by 3. For each win, a team scores points equal to its point value times 3.

6. The object is to score the most points.

8. Prize money is awarded as follows:

1st place - 75% of the pot

2nd place - 15%

3rd place - 10%

9. There are no tiebreakers. In case of a tie, prize money will be split.

10. Entries must be submitted using the form below no later than 9 a.m., MST (Noon EDT),  Thursday, March 18, 2010. No fax, phone or e-mail entries will be accepted.

11. Players may submit multiple entries. If you have multiple entries be sure each entry is numbered. If you are submitting only one entry, you do not need to give it an entry number.

12. Players may change picks up until the deadline for entries. If you want to make a change, simply resubmit picks under the same name and entry number of the entry you are changing. Entries are time stamped, so if there are multiple entries under the same name, the last entry submitted will be the one that counts.

13. Standings will be updated on this site after each round.
